Forget what negative people have to say! Just remember what God says about you. You are victorious!
Forget what negative people have to say! Just remember what God says about you. You are victorious!
God will cling to and favor those who have a clean heart/mind/soul.
1 Samuel 16:7
Man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart
Here in this scripture mentioned above God is calling us to fully examine ourselves from the inside out. It is easy to put on masks and hide things we don’t want to deal with. The challenging part is dealing with those things we tend to suppress. We tend to clean up what others can see so that we are presentable. When in reality our inner being is a mess. This actually hinders us from reaching our full potential. Just because we choose to ignore things that we suppress for a time in order to look presentable does not mean they are gone. Some thing or some one will trigger them and they will come up and show an ugly side of us that we never intended to show. That is what God is concerned with He wants us to deal with the issues that bother us and are unlike Him.
God is particularly concerned with your heart because it is where you hide your most personal thoughts. It’s your secret place. Here you can put A LOT. You will begin to act out what you place in your heart.
Its time to clean it up! If God is to reside within our hearts it should be clean, pure, inviting, open, willing, and ready to receive what it is He has for us. It is our duty to do our best to keep the heart clean for God. Of course we will need His help because we can’t do it on our own. Although the big decision is ours to first let go of those yucky things.
Ask yourself these questions.
Is my heart prepared for the King?
Is any part of my heart off limits?
What things have I hidden in my heart?
How can you see the brightness of the future by looking behind you?
“Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”
Many of us spend time dwelling on things that shouldn’t have our attention very long. We keep going over the same things time after time. The enemy loves to get us lingering among negative things that prevent us from moving forward. We begin picking things we want to take from situations instead of seeing things for what they truly are.
By going into the past and digging up things and dwelling on them it hinders our ability to progress and move forward. Not saying its an easy task to let go. Simply because it is not! However it must be done in some situations. We need to take our hands off helpless situations and turn them over to God who is the way maker and allow Him to move. God can and will help you with these seemingly difficult tasks if you surrender them to Him.
If you’re struggling with past things and are ready to move forward in peace say this prayer:
I am having trouble moving forward. Help me deal with my past so that I can move forward in you. I am tired of dwelling on things that cannot change. Help me to see myself through Your eyes. Help me to realize the potential and purpose in my life. Highlight the qualities in me that honor you. Makeover the qualities that are not like you. I am ready to step into the future that you have for me. Let your will be done in my life. In Jesus’ name Amen!
Showing grace to people who in your eyes doesn’t deserve it can be a hard thing to do. Let’s be real here when you know someone isn’t sorry and is capable of being destructive yet again it hits a nerve. We are human and it is tough to love unconditionally. That is why we need God’s strength to do these things. God has loved us through all of our mess, faults, repeat mistakes, and sinful actions. As God forgives us and we are to do the same for others and to show grace while doing so. It sounds simple but it is oh so complex! We don’t always get things right. We are learning and growing each day. We may make mistakes as we try to get this christian life right but God shows patience, love, kindness and grace. Just remember that in those times where you are feeling stuck or hesitant to show grace. God continuously comes to our rescue often! More times than we may want to admit. So when you see someone make a mistake but are trying to get it right show grace just as you would want someone to show you.
If you are struggling with grace and want to grow in this area say this prayer:
Thank you for your grace that I did not earn. I can never repay you or understand the depth of your love. Thank you for freely showing grace in my life. Help me to show grace to those around me on a daily basis. I struggle to show grace even when people apologize. Help me to see that we are all human and may sometimes make mistakes. Humble me so that in the moments where I am having difficulty extending grace I can remember all that you have done in my life. Show me how to respond with grace in all things I do and to all I come in contact with. In Jesus’ name Amen!
The enemy helped you create a barricade around yourself with lies, unhealthy thoughts, doubts, anger, and fear. In doing this you’ve suppressed the love of God beneath those things. You’re feeling disconnected in a sense. The time has come to break down those walls.
God is calling out to you! You cannot hear because these things are blocking you. The enemy’s strategy is to get into your mind and cause chaos. To stop you from becoming who God truly created you to be. When God speaks it’s light, freeing, uplifting, encouraging, loving and positive. Don’t confuse the thoughts the enemy helped you plant!
In order to break down those walls you need to decide that enough is enough! You are a child of the King. Rise up and find that warrior you once knew inside of yourself and speak the word of God over yourself. Straight from the word tell those things exactly what they are. False! Lies! Deception!
It’s time to get back to the REAL you. The HAPPY you!
God instilled gifts in all people when they were created. We all have a special part to play in the body of Christ. If you are interested in knowing what part you play take a spiritual gifting test. It will outline what gifts you possess. Once you get your results pray that God opens your eyes and ears to a better understanding of how you can use them daily. You can also seek help from a leader at your church.
Don’t be discouraged as you see others walking in giftings that God has given. You have a purpose and gifts that are waiting to be manifested. So take courage and believe that God has a plan for you. Greater than you know! Many times the things we are good at are areas that God can use us in! God is very intentional. 🙂

In this thing called life it can be challenging to figure out what direction to go. As a young adult there are so many options and opinions floating around. It can be very intimidating to ask for help from people because it seems like judgement is all around. Don’t let that discourage you from doing the right thing! You cannot half step though. Either you’re all in or you’re not. The Bible talks about being Luke warm. God wants us to be in a committed relationship with him.
16 So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.
How are you asking God to be your guide and you haven’t decided which way you’re going?
Even if you haven’t been to church all your life God has a plan for you. Before you were born there was a plan and purpose for your life. It is not too late to start a relationship with the Lord. It does not matter what you have done or where you have been. He will restore the years that you feel have been lost. All you have to do is surrender and say yes! Let God be the Lord of your life.
Easier than it sounds?! Absolutely! Surrendering your life and saying God you know what’s best so I’m giving it to you is hard. Especially when your heart isn’t connected. If you haven’t spent time in God’s presence it’s hard to let go. You have to know Him and His intentions. Once you do you’ll have more ease of letting go. You’ll know you’re in good hands.
I’m sure you’re saying I’ve chosen to follow God that’s where I’m going. Most days I’m headed in that direction. Yet you forgot that daily you fail to follow His way to love, forgive, show grace etc. Following Christ means you dedicate your life to Him. Dying daily and striving to live life according to His will. It is not easy being Christian is hard but the reward of heaven is well worth it.
If you have slid back into old habits that you know don’t line up with God’s will for your life and your wish is to reconnect with him say this prayer:
I need you and I realize I cannot make it on my own so I am humbly calling out you. I am tired of doing things my own way. Help me to do things Your way. I invite you into my heart to be my Lord and Savior. Fill the emptiness that is in me with your Holy Spirit and make me whole. Lord help me to trust you, help me to love you, help me to understand your grace, your mercy, and your peace. Thank you for saving me. Amen!
“It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. (John 19:30)
Jesus bore the cross for all sins, mistakes, and illnesses.
Expect to be healed. PERIOD
We need to understand that God desires us to be healed. He truly loves us and wants us well so that we can help others obtain healing. Sickness was never meant to be our portion and we need to put a demand on the anointing.
Discouragement only hinders us we must push through. We must push past the pain, agony, discomfort, uncertainty, and sadness. God’s healing is available to all He heals all manners of sickness.
“Jesus told him, “Receive your sight! Your faith has made you well.”
There is nothing to hard for God and He specializes in the impossible. When the doctors come to a incurable diagnosis God finds a way out for you. He is the great physician. God has the final say. Trust that He will heal you. Having faith is a huge part of being healed. In the Bible you will find that as Jesus went to different cities and people sought out to be healed. Many were healed by faith just whole heartedly knowing if they could get to him that healing was there.
“And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace, and be healed of your disease.””
There are several ways that you can be healed.
“Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.” James 5:14-15
1. Healing through laying of hands
2. Healing through deliverance
3. Healing through breaking curses
4. Healing through anointing oil
5. Healing through faith
6. Healing through virtue or touch
7. Healing through presence of God
8. Healing through prayer
9. Healing through the gift of healing
10. Healing through fasting
11. Healing through words
12. Healing through cloths/clothing
If you need healing in any area of your life Repeat this prayer:
I declare that healing is MY portion. It is Your will that my life is healed. I come against any illness attacking my body and mind. Sickness of any kind has no place in my life! I believe God that You desire to see me healed and I receive all that You are doing even now. Lord help my unbelief and build my faith. In your word you said that healing is the children’s bread. As a child of the King I rise up and declare and decree that I am well. In Jesus’ name. Amen!!!
Many times we doubt God more than we think. Saying “I’m giving it to God” but yet still worrying. However we put ALL our trust in worldly situations! We order things off-line while doing shopping, we make plans to meet people, and we fully trust that the plans that person or business set out are going through! We sit back, get excited, and just can’t wait! It doesn’t even cross our minds that the person won’t come through or the business plan will fail. Working with imperfect people in an imperfect world warrants disappointment yet we hold them to such high standards.
Then when it comes to God and His promises, we know He is able yet we want visible proof of things and what is to come in our lives. In that very moment we may get excited but right after its immediate worry. How can God do what He needs to in your life if you wont allow Him to do what He needs to. You can’t give Him your problems, and then like a child check up on him. He is the GOD OF ALL THINGS. NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE for Him. He’s been doing GREAT things since the beginning of time.
We live in a time where miracles are so flabbergasting however that’s because our faith is so weak. We know God is fully capable and able to do more than what we could ever ask for or think right!? Miracles shouldn’t surprise us as Christians.
Many will think that’s not me i don’t doubt God all the time. I mean its hard to believe something that isn’t tangible or visible. What if I told you that you won employee of the month and that gets you a brand new 50″ plasma TV! The tech is coming on Sunday and all you need to do is be available. Would you accept? Sure why not who doesn’t want a free TV.
So you need your brand new 50″ plasma screen TV and HD DVR installed. You have a technician scheduled, and you’re anxiously waiting. You take a day off work to make yourself available so that you can let him in. He is scheduled to fix and install everything necessary to get your TV working. In your head you can already see it finished and you can imagine yourself hosting parties. You’re so excited you bragged to all your friends got them excited too. Made future plans. You’re so sure after he leaves you’re all set. Finally the tech is here, you almost run and open the door exposing your house and giving him control to do his job. You ask if there is anything he needs your help with. You sit back and sip lemonade as he cuts wires and drills holes in your wall. You see all the equipment and you have no idea how it will all work but you are trusting that he got the job because he is capable.
Now here’s another scenario. God has promised that this is your year! Your year of prosperity, success and advancement! Great news right? I mean its about time. You’ve been waiting its been such a struggle. He says let me in so i can prepare you…. He’s at your door. Knocking and patiently waiting to be let in. He’s sent all types of notices, emails, texts, and mail about how He wants to come in and enhance you. All of it sounds great its exactly what you need. You have this void that isn’t filled and you have been desperately searching on how and what to fill it with. God says “I will fill you up let me in”. You’re hesitant about letting him in. Something always comes up. Your work schedule leaves you limited time to do what you want concerning reading and praying. You’re not ready to open the door to let him in. You are unsure that the work He may do in you will be exactly what you need. You aren’t quite able to imagine how your life will be after he is finished with you. Maybe you aren’t ready to be changed?
Then finally you say i’m out of options, you open the door. You give God access. You expect immediate results, it begins to take longer than YOU planned. You begin to ask am I ever going to be prosperous? Where is my advancement i feel like I am at a standstill? I am no closer to success than i was before! You never ask or offer what can I do to help God? God STILL doesn’t cut you off. He waits patiently for you to come to him on your own. God doesn’t need us but he wants us. Unlike any other friend, family member or acquaintances you may encounter he sticks to you. He doesn’t leave despite the neglect we show.
Now in comparison to the technician who came to install your television who cares nothing about your eternal future. God cares and knows His plan for your life. So trusting that He will lead you in that direction is key. Allow Him install the things in you needed for your success and watch how you soar. Never forget God is working on His time and He is an on time God. It may take longer than you think but trust that it’s worth it.
Trust in the Lord today. 💕
